Every year, students from the Augusta University College of Nursing cross state lines and provide health screenings to farm workers in Trenton.
This year marks the 14th annual Costa Layman Health Fair. Since it began, the program has provided more than 5,000 screenings to migrant workers from Costa Layman.
Pam Cromer, a professor at the College of Nursing and director of the Costa Layman Community Health Outreach Program, said the health fair is beneficial to students and workers.
